At the Western heights of the Alpes-Maritimes department, and deep in the country, the 'Pays de Grasse' offers multiple renting possibilities both during holidays and short stays. Its many villages, better preserved and calmer than those of the coast, offer a comfort with unbeatable standards for the French Riviera: cottages with swimming pool and garden, rustic enclaves, tranquil estate apartments...

The lower 'Pays de Grasse' is that of the Southern side, where we find Mougnis and Sophia-Antipolis along with Valbonne, Opio, Le Rouret, Roquefort les Pins, Plascassier and, a tad further to the West, Pégomas. Mostly village-like, it stands in sharp contrast with the coastal side, hence being ideal to spend natural family holidays surrounded by beautiful towns and landscapes.

Grasse is the world's capital of perfume with its ever-changing suburbs and many factories that can be visited. When renting in the 'Pays', a holiday apartment (even a swimming-pool-equipped one) in the capital is possible as much as a village cottage. As a rule of thumb, renting in the capital is cheaper than in the countryside, yet the latter has the more impressive landscapes, the likes of Bar sur Loup's and Gourdon's, where good walks await us nearby. There is no place to rest better than the 'Pays de Grasse'.
